Profile:
Dr. Husain Parvez received his Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science from National University of Sciences and Technology, Rawalpindi. He received MS and PhD in Electronics and Computer Science from University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris-6), Paris. Before doing MS and PhD, he worked at the System-on-Chip tools department at Communications Enabling Technologies Islamabad, and at Video Decoder & Optimization department at Streaming Networks Islamabad. He has taught at University Pierre & Marie Curie, Paris, Habib University and IQRA University, Karachi. He is associated with KIET since 2012. His current research interests include design and exploration of FPGA architectures and related CAD tools for FPGAs. Dr. Parvez was the co-principal investigator of four major funded projects, totaling worth 48 million PKR. He has authored and coauthored 10 publications in high impact journals, and 15 papers in international conferences. He has also authored a book titled “Application-Specific Mesh-based Heterogeneous FPGA Architectures” published by Springer

Dr. Muhammad Bilal Kadri

Profile:
Dr. Kadri has earned his doctoral degree from the prestigious University of Oxford, UK. He has authored/co-authored 15 research papers in reputable international journals and 33 research papers in international conferences. He has over 15 years of teaching and research experience. He is also serving as Chairman SDP (Senior Design Project) Committee in the College of Engineering. Dr. Kadri is the principal investigator (PI) of the research project titled “Design and development of Intelligent Mobile Robots (IMRs) for disaster mitigation and firefighting”. The project is funded by National ICTR&D Fund. Prior to joining KIET he worked for 05 years as an Assistant Professor in the Electronics and Power Engineering Department, NUST-PNEC, Karachi.

Engr. Dr. Noman Hassany

Profile:
Dr. Noman Hasany has more than 25 years of research experience and university level teaching experience in undergraduate and graduate programs both nationally and internationally. He worked as an Assistant Professor and Head of Computer Science Department at DHA Suffa University. He also served as Chairman Computer Science Department at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. He did his PhD in Computer Systems Engineering from University Putra Malaysia; M.E. and B.E. also in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. He has an international working experience of seven years as an Assistant Professor in the Computer science Department of Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include Semantic Web, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Digital transformation, E-learning and Knowledge based system.

Profile:
Dr. Mazher Iqbal has successfully completed his PhD 2018 from KIET, Karachi, Pakistan. During his Ph.D., he has succeeded to publish 06 international research articles, 02 out of them are published in ISI indexed international journals. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience. During his Ph.D., he became a part of a collaborative research project with Umm-Al Qura University, KSA. The project was based on the exploration of new logic blocks for FPGAs, which can allow sharing of SRAM tables among NPN equivalent functions. Moreover, he has also actively participated in a research project funded by ICTRnD, Pakistan. He has been associated with KIET since January 2015.

Reconfigurable Computing, CAD tool and Design optimizations for FPGA, Deep Neural Networks on FPGA.
Engr. Muhammad Ejaz Tayab

Profile:
Mr. Tayab has more than 20 years of combined industrial and teaching experience. He is pioneer in bringing AutoIDs and last-mile Supply Chain IT in Pakistan in 1998. Before joining KIET, he has served Autobar as CTO and CEO. He is a member of MS/PhD research committee at SZABIST.

RFID, IoT, Supply Chain IT and Mobility.
Engr. Farhan Ghafoor

Profile:
Engr. Farhan completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer System from Usman Institute of Technology affiliated with NED University, Karachi (Pakistan) in 2005. In 2012, he completed Master of Engineering in Telecommunication & Computer Networks from UIT, Karachi (Pakistan). After completion of his B.E, he joined Pakistan Navy as Lecturer and posted in Information Warfare School at PNS Bahadur for providing training in the field of Information warfare, Information Operations and C2 warfare. In 2008, he was a part of PN School of Information Technology for teaching the subjects of Network Security, Computer Programming, Cyber Security, Analog, Digital Communication and Data Communication. In 2012, he was transferred to PN Balanced Scorecard Institute as Staff Officer (Automation and Databases) and promoted to Assistant Professor.
In 2015, he was transferred to PN Communication School to teach the subjects of Telecommunication. During this period he was also performed in different Staff duties (Training Coordination Officer, O I/C Exam, Computer Programmer, Senior Computer Programmer, Network Administrator and IT Manager. Subsequently, he retired on 30 April 2022. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in
College of Engineering, KIET at Karachi, Pakistan. He is responsible for carrying out teaching and research duties. He is involved in undergraduate courses as well as responsible for organizing lectures, seminars and tutorials. His research interests include application of artificial intelligence and Machine Learning, Automation Engineering, Robust Computer Networks and Network Security.

Tooba Shaikh

Tooba Shaikh received her bachelor’s degree in “Computer and Information Systems Engineering” and ME in “Computer Networks and performance Evaluation” from NED University of Engineering and Technology. Currently, she is doing Ph.D. in “Green Networking” from NED University of Engineering and Technology. She has been connected to KIET since 2017. Her research interests are Sustainable Networking, Cyber Security, Machine learning and Algorithm designing. She works as a research assistant at NEDUET’s “National Center of Cyber Security” research lab. Additionally, she worked on the SUPARCO PNSS-1 project as a graduate assistant for a year.
